**I've done a lot of posts, so be sure to scroll down so you don't miss anything**

Well, we made it.  The first day of school for my first born.  Sigh.  It really wasn't that bad.  I think I got most of my crying done at the beginning of the month when I realized how fast it was all approaching that no tears were shed this morning.  And it really helped that Thomas was just short of ECSTATIC to go!  I want to walk to school, it's a mile away from our house, so we timed it last week.  It took us 25 minutes last week.  We basically ran this morning to keep up with Thomas and it only took us 15!  Wow, I was impressed.

He was mostly excited to wear his fancy new clothes.  He's waited all summer to get a new star wars shirt since he out grew his shirt at the beginning of the summer.  And he got light up shoes, which he thinks are Sketchers (shhhh, please don't tell him they are not because it'll save me about $20!).

Of course Hailey needed a picture taken too.  She already can't wait until her turn to go to kindergarten!

And little Miles.  Always happy.

Here we are on the lawn in front of his school.
After he found his desk.  Thomas wasted zero time getting right to work.  I hope he keeps that attitude for a long time!

He's mostly excited about his good friends that he already knows in his class.  I'm glad he already knows some kids, but I also hope he makes some good new friends too.

Here's a couple of videos that nicely capture the excitement!

He only went for two hours today (I didn't even have time to miss him!) and he wont go back officially until next Monday.  Thursday he has his kindergarten screening where they'll measure his current abilities and tack how much he has learned through the year.  He nervous.  I can't wait for him to realize how smart he really is!

Here's to a new school year!

Good luck at school Thomas! I love his movie of him singing to school. I can tell he was super excited to go! I hope that never changes for him. He is going to be a great student.
