A few weeks ago we went to Lagoon with James' work. It was the same day we got back from our overnight hike with Shad and Heidi. James and I did not feel like doing much so, we used Lisa and Lance's free Farmington residence passes which means you can get into Lagoon, but you can't ride anything but a couple "complimentary" rides. So, the plan was to just spend a couple hours at the kiddie rides and let our kiddies enjoy their selves.
I'd kind of forgotten we had gone until I saw these funny pictures and remembered what a funny little trip it was. Thomas loved the rides and soon learned that he could stand in line by himself and ride the same ride over and over and over again. That was OK with us. We really just wanted to sit and relax a minute. However, we did try to get Hailey to ride a couple rides and you'll see by the pictures, she was not willing. We got one smile out of her. That was before the train started. After that one smile, she did not want to leave the safety of the stroller.
Thomas had an awesome time though.

He went on this one a couple times. He was in the yellow boat with purple letters because we thought the purple flag would entice Hailey. She was really excited until James took her through the gate then she wanted nothing to do with the boats.

The rocket ship with guns was another favorite for Thomas. He really liked shooting the gun.

Hailey's one smile. And this is what she looked like on every other ride......

Thomas didn't care much for Lagoon when he was 2 1/2 either. Maybe next time we'll leave our kiddo that age with someone else. I hate to torment them so much.

That is awesome Ann, I can totally see Thomas loving the rides there. Maybe Hailey will grow into them someday????..maybe? Looks like a fun time.
Wahoo! Thomas looks great on those rides. I am glad he had a good time. We will have to work on Hailey next year! I love that picture of her crying on the merry-go-round. Doesn't she know you are supposed to be merry on that? :) I believe Maria has a picture of Eric doing the same thing Hailey is on the train. A lot of kids must do that!
