Thomas' 4th birthday celebrations....
Is that little baby boy I held in the hospital really already 4 years old? I can hardly believe it. But, I do believe when he says, "Mom, 4 is much better than 3." Yes, my little one, 4 will bring a whole year of discovery and learning.
We began our celebrations the week before Thomas' birthday with an extended family celebration. We also celebrated Abby's (Thomas' cousin) birthday this night too. Maria (Abby's mom) made a super fun cake for them, complete with layers, candy and a princess and Mickey Mouse. Thomas had to ask me if the princess was for him or the Mickey Mouse. He was a little relieved when I told him that the Mickey Mouse was meant for him.
Abby and Thomas getting ready to blow out their candles.
The next day James left for the BYU vs. Oklahoma football game in Texas. Yes, I know, Texas? Why there? Well, they got to play at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium which is apparently an experience all by it's self. James had a blast on his road trip with his brothers, parents, and his sister. It was an even sweeter trip with they could drive home dwelling in the grand feelings of a win for the Cougars.
"YEEEEHAW.....Thomas the cowboy with his new hat and boots. He wears his boots everywhere.
He looked way too big up on that bike. I was surprised at how well he did on it. He loves to ride it around and around our cul-de-sac. I love the cul-de-sac because I can let him do that without worrying about not being able to see him while I work in the yard.
And Hailey was excited to finally get full dibs on the tricycle.
This is Thomas with James' cousin-in-law, Spencer who works at the Treehouse Museum. He was dressed up as a pirate to celebrate their annual Pirate Day. Spencer is a wonderful story teller and captivates Thomas every time he tells a story.
Hailey playing with a doll house. This museum has a whole room filled with Madam Alexander dolls (display only) and several doll houses to play with. She really enjoyed that.
Them bones, them bones, them dry bones...Thomas thought this puzzle was awesome! The things that interest him always amaze me.
And we couldn't miss the cowboy section. The kids liked sitting on the horses and pretending they were the real thing.

This is a video of the music room. This was my favorite room because they had so many different instruments that didn't look like they would produce beautiful music, but all had such a wonderful tone to them.

And after two hours of hard play, Hailey could not keep her eyes open. She fell asleep in the middle of eating a cracker. I loved how her legs were crossed. What a girl.
