We recently went though a reunion whirlwind. Three reunions all within one month! Our first reunion was with James' Dad's side of the family- The Bradley's. We camped in Manti, Utah right next to the temple. We're pretty sure that this is the only campground in the world where you can fall to sleep looking at the lights of the temple. Here we went on a hay ride, went swimming, and ate a yummy lunch and had a family auction at the Manti Opera House. James and I were also able to visit with some old friends, the Bagley family, from my home stake- Fayetteville, NC- who now live in Manti. It's always nice to visit with someone from back home.
Hailey and her most favorite person in the whole world- aunt Natalie. Sorry all you other aunts and uncles, but I believe this is very true.
Playing relay games with the cousins while we wait for lunch.
Grandma Bradley (sitting) talking with another family member. Can you believe this wonderful woman is going to be 90 years young in October! Amazing. We love Great Grandma so much!
One week later we gathered in Centerville, Utah with James' mom's side of the family- The Ramsey's. We met at a park and enjoyed lots of games, food, visiting, and mostly the gigantic slip n' slid. This looked too painful for me, but I know those that did it LOVED it including Thomas. He couldn't get enough of it. Hailey went, but it didn't really tickle her pickle and as you can see in the picture, she ran off it as soon as she was done. She was much happier sitting in the wading pool set up for the little people. All the big boys (James, Chris, Lance, etc...) had a blast, but I understand were also feeling sore in places they didn't even know existed the next couple of days.

Two weeks after this we gathered with James' parent's and siblings in Logan, Utah for our annual reunion. It's hard to really call this a reunion since we do live so close to each other, but it's good to get the tradition going so that when someone does happen to move away, we are already in the habit. It's also nice to have some time to set aside just for family, not for football, or work projects, or anything else, just family time. We floated the frigid Logan Canal. We were pretty sure our bums were frozen a few minutes into our trip. We ate really good food since the campground was complete with a full kitchen. The boys started the 1st annual Brad Masters with an ever so coveted "DI special" trophy to win at the end. Grandma did lots of fun activities that the grandkids loved- a treasure hunt, drum making, and a parade. Mostly we sat around the campfire and talked and played games. That was my favorite part.
We didn't take a lot of pictures because we dropped our camera and although it still works (thank goodness) we were still a little shy about using the camera. I did get a really cute video of Thomas and Eric pretending to be ducks. I love watching the cousins play together. They have such a good time.
Thomas watching the ducks.
James, Thomas, and Eric. James was showing the boys how to skip rocks.
Derik and Bryson soaking up the sun rays after our very cold ride down the canal.
Scott and Hailey watching the ducks. We had a great time this summer reconnecting with everyone. We ended the summer of reunions by purchasing tickets to fly out to visit my family in November. I couldn't think of a better way to finish up!
