Mouse Update

I can't think of a better way for this saga to have ended. This mouse was clearly smarter than the average rodent and therefore was uninterested in the poison we left out for him. After several encounters, our final one was in the kitchen again and, thankfully, while James was home. The little guy ran behind the fridge and was trapped, hahahahaha. James and I both armed ourselves with the necessary pots to trap him when he came running out. We stood and waited. Then, before I could get the words out to explain what was happening he made a b-line to the door where a little tiny crack between the frame and wall of the house had been left when we replaced the door. He made it outside, where he belonged, and we finally filled in the crack with that bottle of foam insulation that's been sitting in our basement. Mouse gone, one more job off the honey-do-list. Life couldn't be better.

Lol, glad it all worked out and you didn't even have to kill it, even better!
