We had a fun filled day celebrating Thomas' 3rd birthday. If we thought our 2 year old Thomas was fun, I can tell that 3 will be that much better. He has something funny to say or do everyday, all day long. We sure do love you Thomas!
Our day began with fishing. Dad's present to Thomas was a new fishing pole (although as you can see in the pictures Dad had a little more fun with it). Thomas has been talking about going fishing all week. The video proves how excited he was. We didn't catch any fish (neither did anyone else fishing at the pond). The fish must have finally figured out the difference between a real fly and a fake one. Thomas didn't mind too much since he's happy throwing rocks in any body of water. He did finally pretend to go fishing and he seemed to have better luck than his dad.

I feel sorry for the ducks when he catches that huge fish!
My present to Thomas was a new tree swing. I've spent the last week building it myself. What's better than a wood tree swing? It is low to the ground so that Thomas can get on and push himself with his feet. Thomas loves it and so does Hailey. I think she'll sit on it all day. The only problem is that it swings crooked. I think it's because the tree branch that it is on is slanted up words. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
We then went over to Grandma and Grandpa Bradley's house to have his party. Thomas requested a dinosaur cake. He got so many fun presents and has been busy playing with all of them; however, his new stegosaurus is the favorite. He likes to set up his T-Rex and (quoting Thomas) "strike him down" with the "spike tail."
His Grammy and Grandpa Barrow sent him a doggy neck pillow to use while in his car seat and for the plane ride to their house. Thomas was somewhat confused as to what it was, but quickly made things better when he decided it was a dinosaur and even better when he found that it made a pretty funny hat.
We're looking forward to another fun year with Thomas!

Happy Birthday Thomas, sounds like you had a great one! Sorry we missed it, hopefully we won't be missing things for much longer!
Happy Birthday Thomas! I love what he is going to do to the fish when he catches it. He is seriously so cute, and looks like an awesome fisherman!
