This last weekend we went to Antelope Island to see the anual Hot Air Balloon Festival. As our luck would go, it was way too windy for the balloons to go up, but we did have a little bit of fun exploring. We only live about 10 minutes away, so we felt it was about time to go and see what we could see.
One of the big attractions on Antelope Island are the buffalo that live there. We saw lots of buffalo, but no antelope. The kids have been well introduced to buffalo this summer.
There weren't any balloons flying, but we did get to enjoy this beautiful sunrise. Isn't it amazing how we can daily be in awe of the sun rises and sets.
This is a picture of a small rain shower going across the Salt Lake. If you look really closely, you can see a rainbow just to the left of the deck. It went all the way down to the water. I tried to convince James to go swimming for the pot of gold, but he wouldn't. Oh well.
Here's the buffalo. They were just munching away on the side of the road.
Here's an example of the wind. It was taking Hailey's breath away. I guess we didn't keep her in Rexburg long enough.
