We made it folks! We made it through our first official summer between school years. Today Thomas and Hailey started their journey through another school year. Thomas started first grade with Ms. Allred and Hailey started kindergarten with Mrs. Stephens. They both are thrilled with their teachers and very excited to begin this adventure.
I dropped each one off in their rooms and not a tear or hardly even a goodbye hug was given. They were both comfortable and got started with their work just like they've been doing this routine for weeks!

Mr. Thomas starting the First Grade. He fought me so hard to wear his old stained worn out clothes. I won- hahaha.
Trouble.

Just before the bell range. They were more interested in looking for all of their friends at this point. Can't you tell they love each other?
She doesn't look nervous at all! She is so ready to take on kindergarten.
He looks like he's been doing this all of his life. That's his teacher in the back ground. She's a pretty energetic person. Perfect for first grade!
They left school skipping and bouncing off the walls. I'm so glad my kids love school so much because they are going to be spending a lot of time there in the next few years. Here's to hoping they keep their good attitudes!
As for me, I didn't have time to be sad or shed tears either. At about 8:30 this morning a friend called and asked if I would take her 4 and 2 year old for the day. So, between that, and going to and from school so many times, so frequently because of early out, I hardly had time to sit today. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow will be a little slower. Not likely- I have an appointment with the tomato patch and some salsa.
