Halloween 2010

Another Halloween has come and gone. I got into capes this year! Thomas was Luke Skywalker. I had to put his costume together with bits and pieces of felt and D.I. finds. We were so excited to find a real light saber at the last minute on one of our D.I. trips.

Hailey's costume was a little easier. We were able to get all her costume necessities from the dress-up box. She was going to be a fairy ballerina, but at the last minute it was cold and rainy, so I convinced her to be a princess and wear her pretty little pink cloak. She was so cute. Every little girl should have one of these. I like them so much, maybe I can convince them to be Robin Hood and Little Red Riding Hood next year. Except that Thomas has already expressed interest in being R2-D2. I'd better start thinking about that one.

And like always, I let them indulge in as much candy as they wanted on Halloween night, but we have since made our candy chain, this year counting down to Thanksgiving. They are so good about it and don't even complain about only getting one piece of candy a day. I wonder how long that will last...And, yes, they are in shorts and short sleeves. We're enjoying and Indian summer this week.
