I *HEART* You!

Can you believe it, I'm actually posting something about a holiday before the holiday!? I know, its a little crazy for me. I can hear the sound of shock already. :) Thomas had a Valentine's Day party at his preschool class today, so we got a head start with the Valentine making and although he didn't bring cookies to the party, I had extra frosting from the birthdays last week just calling to me. That frosting needed some cookies! And so I gave it some.

These are the Valentines that the kids helped me make. I got the idea from my FamilyFun Magazine. I love that magazine. There are always so many good ideas in it! I cut all the pieces out and Thomas and Hailey assembled them.

This afternoon we made some cookies. I decided to fill zip lock baggies with icing instead of let the kids go wild with the knives- they always mix the colors that way. They really liked the bags and, if you can tell, Thomas really enjoyed squeezing piles and piles of frosting on his cookies.

Hailey was a little more conservative with the icing, but made sure all of her cookies had a healthy helping of sprinkles. She also had to sample the cookies while she decorated. She's so good at multitasking.

And here's the finished product. *yummy!*

I wish you all lots of love sent your way on this Valentine weekend!
