Bradley Brights

We went to the zoo last week with Maria, Becky, Lisa and all the cousins. We just happened to plan our trip for the hottest day of the year so far, but that didn't slow down the kids. When we first got there, they all got their maps and were immediately planning which animals we needed to see. In addition to the normal animal exhibits, we also saw a rhino show and a bird show. The rhino show was replacing the usual elephant show, but their elephant is 19 months pregnant, due in July. She's on maternity leave, so we watched the rhinos eat apples, bananas and carrots. Did you know that their horns are made out of the same cartilage that makes up our noses and ears? The zoo isn't my favorite place to go, but the kids always seem to enjoy themselves when we make the trip down. I'm so glad we had this opportunity to go and share it with our cousins; that really made for a fun day.
